Welcome to the new manchatz.com
I finally gave this site a proper rebuild. No framework, no build step, no database —
just a single PHP router, a folder of markdown, and a stylesheet I actually like.
Why plain PHP?
Most of my side projects already live on this server as tiny PHP apps, so it made sense to
keep the main site in the same stack. The whole thing:
- Reads posts from
content/posts/*.md - Renders them with a small Markdown parser
- Ships an RSS feed at
/rssfor free
$post = (new Posts($config))->find('welcome');
echo $post['html'];
What's here
- Blog — write a markdown file, it shows up.
- Work — a portfolio pulling in my live sub-apps.
- Social — a live X timeline embedded right on the page.
The best personal site is the one you'll actually keep updating.
More soon.
